# What is call routing?

## Overview

Call routing controls how and when incoming calls reach your AI receptionist. You can configure routing so that calls go directly to the AI, ring your phone first, or follow a schedule.

## Why it matters

The right call routing setup ensures you never miss a call while still giving you the option to answer personally when you are available.
