The ring timeout sets how many seconds your phone rings before an unanswered call is forwarded to your AI receptionist.How to change
1. Go to Settings then Call Routing. 2. Adjust the Ring Timeout slider or enter a value in seconds. 3. Click Save.Recommended settings
- 10 to 15 seconds — Enough time to grab your phone if it is nearby, without keeping the caller waiting too long.
- 20 to 25 seconds — If you are often away from your desk but want the chance to answer.
- 5 seconds — If you prefer the AI to handle almost everything and only want a brief window.
If the timeout is too long, callers may hang up before reaching anyone. We recommend 15 seconds for most businesses.
